Terms of use and sale

Who we are
Kvisso is sold by Kvisso.
- Email: login@kvisso.com
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you make a host account, buy something, or run a game. Players who join a game with a code don't need an account and don't buy anything; for them, the privacy notice explains what we keep. For organisation and education accounts, our data processing agreement is part of these terms.
The service
Kvisso is a web app for quiz nights. As a host you make quizzes, show them on a TV or screen, and run the game from your own device. Players answer on their phones. You need a plan to make quizzes and start games; the demo quiz can be tried before you pay.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older, or act for a business or an organisation.
- Give your real name and an email address you read: that is where login links and receipts go.
- Keep your password to yourself. An account is for one host; your guests play without one.
- You can change your name and password, download your data, and delete the account at any time on My account.
Plans and quiz packs
- The free trial starts when you confirm your email: 30 days to make a quiz of your own and try it at home. It costs nothing and asks for no card, and it ends by itself.
- A plan opens the app. It is paid monthly or yearly and renews by itself until you cancel. With a plan, quiz packs cost less.
- An event pass is paid once and opens the app for 14 days from the first game you start with it.
- Cancel on My account whenever you like. The plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops; nothing more is charged. A switch between monthly and yearly is settled on your next invoice.
- A quiz pack is bought once and is yours for as long as you have an account. It is for your own games: you may not sell, share or publish its questions.
- A gift card is a month, a year or an event pass paid for by you and used by someone else: you get a code, and whoever redeems it on My account gets that time (added to their plan if they have one). A code works once, has no end date and can't be exchanged for money. Keep it safe: anyone with the code can redeem it.
- Invite a friend: a friend who signs up through your invite link gets the first month of their first plan free. When they first pay, you get a month free, up to 12 months a year. Inviting yourself, or accounts you control, doesn't count, and we may take back months earned that way. The free month comes once per email address and once per card. If your friend's payment is refunded or disputed within 90 days, the month it earned you is taken back.
- Prices are shown in the Shop before you pay, in euro or Norwegian kroner, including VAT (MVA) where it applies. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a plan's price goes up, and you can cancel before it does.
Payment and receipts
Payments are taken by Stripe, on Stripe's own page; your card details never reach us. Every payment gets a receipt by email, and all your receipts are on My account. A business can add its organisation number and address at checkout so they appear on the receipt.
Changing your mind and refunds
- Plans: if you aren't happy, ask us within 14 days of your first payment for a plan and we refund that payment in full. This covers your right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Cancellation Act (angrerettloven).
- Quiz packs are digital content delivered at once. At checkout you agree that you get the pack straight away, and you accept that your right of withdrawal ends when you do. A pack that doesn't work as described is put right or refunded.
- Gift cards: ask within 14 days of buying one and we refund it in full while it hasn't been redeemed. A refunded code stops working.
- Your rights when something is faulty, under Norwegian consumer law, always apply. Write to login@kvisso.com.
What you put in
- Your quizzes, pictures and sounds are yours. You let us store, copy and show them only so the app can run your games, keep backups and show them on your screens.
- You need the right to use what you upload, and you are responsible for it, including music and pictures you play or show at your party.
- Don't upload anything illegal, hateful or that breaks someone else's rights. We may remove content like that and, if it is serious, close the account.
Running a game
You decide who joins your games and what they see. You have tools to mute the chat, remove a player and take down a photo; use them. Players must not post anything illegal or abusive in a game.
Fair use
Don't try to break, overload or get around the app's protections, don't scrape it, and don't resell or share access to an account.
How long the service runs
We work to keep the app up and your data safe, with backups kept off the server. We can't promise it never stops: plan a quiz night with the app working the day before, and keep your own export of quizzes that matter to you. We may change or improve features; we won't take away something you have paid for during the period you paid for.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for losses we cause through negligence, up to what you have paid us in the last 12 months. That limit doesn't apply to damage caused on purpose or through gross negligence, or where the law says otherwise. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as a cancelled party.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time on My account; a running plan is stopped at once. We can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close an account for any other reason, we refund the part of the paid period that is left.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we email you at least 30 days before. The date at the top shows the version in force.
Law and disputes
Norwegian law applies. Write to us first and we will try to sort it out. As a consumer you can also ask the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) for help and take a dispute to the Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrukerklageutvalget). If you live elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer law.
